1993 : Construction of a hatchery

After learning and implementing setting techniques (instead of tele-capturing??), construction of a hatchery.

1994 : Construction of an oyster nursery

Construction of an oyster nursery as a versatile pilot breeding facility in partnership with IFREMER and ANVAR.

1996 : Production of selected oysters

Following the significant mortalities in 1995, the production of the first families of selected oysters was initiated in partnership with another hatchery, the Pays de la Loire Region, and SMIDAP.

2000 : Founding of Vendée Naissain

Dissolution of GAEC Les Ferranges and founding of the oyster seed production and sales company, SCEA Vendée Naissain, located at Polder des Champs in Bouin. The company then employed six people.

2001 : First production of triploid oysters

2004 : The birth of the France Naissain group

Due to its success, Vendée Naissain undergoes structural changes and begins its expansion. The establishment of SAS France Naissain, a commercial company tasked with selling Vendée Naissain products. Acquisition of a second oyster nursery and expansion into international markets (Spain, Italy, Tunisia, Ireland, Jersey, Morocco...).

2005 - 2007 : Expansion of the oyster production facilities

The evolution continues, and the Group invests in production tools and human resources to meet all customer demands: construction of two new nurseries, a second hatchery, and a second micro-nursery. The teams are structuring themselves by increasing the number of men and women and they exchange skills and knowledge to expand in-house oyster production practices.

2008 : Construction of a fifth oyster nursery

2009 : Iso 9001 certification

France Naissain and Vendée Naissain are certified ISO 9001 Version 2008 for the production, marketing, and exportation of diploid and triploid oyster seed.

Creation of SFC (French Shellfish Selection) with three other partners. The objective is to find a disease-resistant oyster strain to reduce the significant mortalities encountered since 2008.

2010 : Construction of a sixth oyster nursery

2011 : Research and Development

Establishment of a Research & Development department aimed at enhancing zootechniques, selection, and quality of our products.

2012 : New nurseries and development

In order to increase its production capacity, the Group continues its investment policy: construction and commissioning of two new oyster nurseries (total of eight nurseries), construction and relocation to the new Administrative and Commercial Headquarters (still located at Polder des Champs in Bouin), construction of a new shipping building and two sieving units, acquisition of 25 hectares of parks on the island of Jersey (pre-growing activity).

France Naissain and Vendée Naissain are once again certified ISO 9001 Version 2008 for the production, marketing, and exportation of diploid and triploid oyster spat.

2013 :

France Naissain and Vendée Naissain have expanded over the past decade and now employ nearly sixty people.

Construction of three new sieving units.

2014 :

Construction of a building dedicated to the Research & Development department.

2015 : Construction of two new oyster nurseries

France Naissain and Vendée Naissain have once again received ISO 9001 Version 2008 certification for the production, marketing, and export of diploid and triploid oyster spat.

2016 : Organic Certification (Bio)

France Naissain and Vendée Naissain are certified Organic Agriculture for a part of their diploid spat nursery production and distribution.

2017 : Construction of two new nurseries

Construction of two new nurseries, bringing our total to 12 nurseries.

Following the re-certification audit conducted in March, France Naissain and Vendée Naissain are certified ISO 9001 on the new version (2015) for the production, marketing, and export of oyster spat.

2018 : Confirmation of the ISO 9001 certification

Confirmation of the ISO 9001 certification, version 2015, for 3 years, until 2021.

2020 : Certification ASC

Truly committed to its oyster farming sector, and more broadly, to sustainable and responsible environmental preservation, France Naissain has implemented an ASC approach obtained in March 2020, which is a natural extension of its societal practices and environmental approach.

Stéphane Angeri has thus built a Group with strong human values, becoming a leader in its field while embracing and respecting the demands of its customers and the environment. Today, all these values unite the cohesion of the company.

2022 : Acquisition of a pre-growing site in Thau

Emphasizing local sourcing and proximity to its customers, the France Naissain group invests in a new production site in Bouzigues (34) and establishes the company Conch'Med.
